The program collects school supplies to benefit the Polk Education Foundation. Fantasy of Flight will give visitors who donate school supply items from the accepted list $5 off full-priced adult general admission for each donation until Sept. 30. • At Polk Museum of Art, the exhibition "Lois Mailou Jones: A Life in Vibrant Color" runs through Sept. 26. Jones was one of the original Harlem Renaissance artists, and many of her pieces are influenced by African art, Caribbean culture and her fascination with color. This exhibition will include Jones's paintings, textile designs and drawings spanning her career of more than 70 years. The museum will host a reception for the exhibition at 6 p.m. Aug. 27.
